We had a bit of a false alarm a couple days back, posting what came to us described as behind the scenes footage from the filming of Johnnie To’s Vengeance. That turned out to be production footage for an ad star Johnny Hallyday shot in Shanghai, but this? There’s no doubting what this is: it’s the first teaser for Vengenace. Johnnie To’s love letter to the old classic French crime noirs, Vengeance stars French music star Johnny Hallyday as an aging hitman in Hong Kong on a quest for revenge. The French release is slated for late May and the French distributor has just released the first teaser, which you’ll find below the break.
